What are your best beauty tips and advice?

I was thinking about make-up and hair for some reason and decided to ask this question, list everything you know wether it is about zits, tanning, shaving, hair advice or just make up, tell me!! thank you

Chloe (my pup) and BrookeWhat are your best beauty tips and advice?
STEP ONE :FACE

To begin with, you need to have a clean face. An artist doesn't paint on a dirty canvas, and neither should you!

Wash face and neck thoroughly

Apply a water-based moisturizer

STEP TWO: CONCEALER AND BASE

If there are any blemishes that need to be covered, begin with a concealer.

Use a yellow-based concealer to match your complexion without adding unnecessary color

Dab on all locations that you wish to cover. Gently rub in, but do not rub off

After that is complete, you are ready to apply a base foundation.

Choose a color that matches really closely to your actual skin tone

Test the foundation to make sure the color blends nicely

The right foundation will seem to ';disappear'; on your face

Cover entire face, blending into the neck

STEP THREE:CHEEK COLOR

Color is used to accentuate features.

Make sure to use a darker shade to lift your cheekbones

Apply from the earlobe down towards the cheek. This prevents leaving a blob of color in the middle of your cheek!

Using a coppery color will accentuate the darker skinned, while a peach or pale pink works nicely with more fair skin. Lighter colors can be used to highlight as well, following the same pattern.

STEP FOUR: EYES

To apply eye make-up, it works best to have two or three shades of one color.

Apply the lightest shade to the entire eyelid

The middle shade is applied to the lower part of the eyelid, closest to the lashes

The darkest shade is applied to the corners of the eyes to create a sense of depth

Eyeliner is used to blend the color into the lashes

Start in the middle of the eyelid, moving out toward the corners

Make sure to blend it into the eyelid

It can be covered with a small amount of lighter eye shadow to make it less dramatic

Mascara should be last

If you have fair skin, lighter mascara, like brown, would be less dramatic and more natural

Apply two coats and wait for it to dry

STEP FIVE: LIPS

There are numerous combinations to use when applying lipstick. Lip liner does not necessarily need to be used, but it helps to bring out the color and shape of your lips.

If lip liner is used, make sure that the lip liner and lipstick blend nicely

Start lining from the inside and move out towards the edges

Then, taking a lip brush, apply the color

Using a brush allows more even coverage and helps control the amount of color applied

Finishing off with a shine gloss gives lips that ';kiss me'; glow!

Finished Product!

Make-up takes time to perfect. Practice is the best way to achieve the look that you want. Spend a little time in front of the mirror everyday. Soon you will find the look that is right for you and you will find that you ARE beautiful ...inside and out! What are your best beauty tips and advice?
Find the shade that fits your skin tone and eye color. It'll bring out the beautiful woman in you. Plus, it will look like you are wearing the make-up, not the make-up wearing you! Mary Kay does have an awesome virtual make-over that will helpyou figure it out!
Skin care is most important to looking your best. Witch Hazel is great for getting impurities out of your pores and is so cheap! Toothpaste is a good overnight treatment for acne. And my favorite to harp on: If you use a glycolic base moisturizer, you must use a sunscreen based moisturizer in the morning. These skin rejuvenating moisturizers slough off old skin, exposing new skin so you need to protect it from the rays. But nothing more than an spf 15 is necessary. And shaving bikinis lines is a whiz and rarely irritated if you use conditioner instead of shaving creams.
Complexion advice:

';Day and Night'; lotion by Stridex works well for breakouts. Try their ';Antibacterial Foaming Wash, Cooling'; as well. It provides instant relief and cleanses effectively, but tends to dry out the skin a bit. The Day lotion can be worn under foundation.

Also, try and find out if breakouts are caused by any food allergies. Chocolate, nuts, dairy, wheat/gluten-containing grains, and soy are common perpetrators. You can treat the surface, but if the complexion problems are actually due to internal issues, the breakouts will keep coming back.
less is more....

alot of people tend to think wearing alot of makeup makes them look good.....sometimes it looks like they are trying to hide who they are and become who there not.

let yourself shine through use the basics and let yourself be seen.

It's suppose to help... not make worse. Pretty basic..And your skin will say thanks in the long run!

Wash, tone, sunscreen/moisturize (olive oil based is the best) foundations IF needed we are all not perfect some bronzer powder, tend to eyebrows IMPORTANT, curl them lashes girls so we can see those eyes, mascara and some lip gloss out the door! Wash your face before bed!
Never, ever wear your foundation to bed. Always wash your face . Always use a sunscreen.
