I've seen some recipes for showsheen, but does anyone have cheap suggestions more having my horse looks it's best at shows and parades? Thank ya!Does anyone have any HOMEMADE horse beauty treatment advice?
Elbow grease is still the best and cheapest way to a beautiful horse. The more you groom, the better they look. I sometime add a raw egg and corn oil to the feed to help with a shiny coat. Buy the Suave brand shampoo and conditioner. Works the same as Mane %26amp; Tail but a lot cheaper. I have groomed for a lot of years and these are some the things that have worked best for me.Does anyone have any HOMEMADE horse beauty treatment advice?
add a small amount of vegetable oil to his diet each day, should give his coat a great shine. leave a stable blanket on him all the time it also helps to bring out a shine
this works really really well and is cheap also... we have some yard chickens and never eat all of the eggs, so i started putting 3 eggs in my horses' feed every day just to keep the eggs from going to waste---i started this about 2 yrs ago. in a couple of weeks you can start to see a difference in their coats--it makes them all slick and shiny. also, to make their hooves look better, we spray paint them with black spray paint before shows. these 2 things make a big difference in the looks of your horse.
You can put fenugreek in his/her feed! It will give your horse a shiny coat:

After you bathe her and brush her take a rag with babby oil on it to shine her face rump and legs. Dont use a lot it will make them sticky and the best part is that when you get home you do not have to wash it out it will enhance the coat for days and will help them shed the spring time rain. You can also use if on the hoof wall also to make there feet shine. Hope it helps.
