Whooo... lol... that's a tough question to answer really. Everyone has a different set of needs to address for their own physical features. I would say, in general though, that drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day is a big part of keeping skin looking good... go easy on the chocolate, lol. ;) Oh, I've discovered that lemon juice concentrate also helps keep zits and splotches down, as well as aids digestion so I get more nutrients absorbed and keep my whole body healthier that way. I use it to make a homemade lemonade (1 cup lemon juice to 2 quarts water), and use Splenda to sweeten it a bit (I can't consume regular sugar, it causes me to get sick, but Splenda seems to be quite tolerable... regular sugar is bad for skin anyway.) I also use the lemon juice with canola oil (you could also use olive or sunflower oil), another good skin lubricant, mixed half-and-half, as a dressing on salads. Really good! :)
Hm... natural colloidal oatmeal lotion is what I've found to work best on heels and elbows, mine are severely dry. I use a generic brand of Pro-V shampoo/conditioner for hair care, it works just as good as the name brand... but you need to know your hair ';type,'; because there's a plethora of choices as to just exactly what type of shampoo/conditioner you would use.
I don't wear make-up often, because it makes my face break out. I might just put on mascara for special occassions, and sometimes I use a light dusting of facial powder (the compact stuff) and a little blush for something really ';special.'; One thing that is really important to pay attention to when applying blush... apply it slightly above the cheekbone, not directly on/under... and I usually take a tissue and sweep lightly over the application around the edges to soften it so it doesn't look like two ';red dots.'; Make-up application blending is an art form, and takes practice. Don't be afraid to play with it. ;)
I don't paint my nails very often either, as it causes the nails to go yellow, and my fingers actually ';hurt'; if I wear the polish too long, but I use an emry board and cuticle clippers to keep my nails under control, lol. I play guitar, so I keep them clipped pretty short anyway, and have to maintain that constantly so my nails don't get in the way of the guitar playing. ;)
Sleep! Sleep is *very* important. Get the amount your body naturally needs if you want to look good all day. ;)
And eat healthy... having treats once in a while is fine, but don't over-eat, don't load up on empty calories (like soda pop), and eat healthy foods that you truly enjoy... learn how to cook them if you don't know how. ;) Make sure you are eating in accordance with inner signals of hunger, not external temptations. LOTS of dark greens in salads is very good for skin. Strawberries and other berries are really good for skin, as well as apples too... and protein is critical. If you are a vegetarian, make sure you get protein in your veggie burgers (or whatever) from soy, and also you can get protein from peanuts and other nuts, and other legumes. If you do eat meat, white meat is best, try to eat very little red meat, it has coagulated fat which contributes to oily skin. Whole grain breads, no white flour products. White flour is really hard on healthy looking hair and skin.
Last, but not least... exercise. It's very important to keep our blood and endocrine systems circulating optimally, and exercising brings in more oxygen in too. Exercise keeps a body ';glowing,'; and attitudes much happier besides. ;) And, it has many other benefits as well, of course, in decreasing our risk of several health problems such as heart disease. ;) You may want to discuss with your doctor whether calcium/magnesium supplements are important for you to take, and a good multi-vitamin too. Good luck!Ladies What Advice Would You Give On Beauty?
Hi, Always look after your skin, use a good quality face cream one of the best is Evian face cream it puts moisture back into the skin. And remember to put it onto your neck. Hands are also important put a good hand cream on Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream is the best in my opinion. Make sure your nails are well manicured and conditioned. As for hair always use conditioner the thicker the conditioner the better.
Beauty is pain.
Be yourself - Love yourself. Everything else will follow.
hey sweetie. you should ';always'; keep on moisturising your skin, try to do it daily and keep everything shaved. what's really in these days that really works on everybody is the natural look, take care of your face skin (cleanse, scrub once a weak, tone and moisturise) you can eyeliner, and of course always mascara and any colour of lip gloss you like and of coarse use foundation if needed. hair-wise, i see that u have darker skin, so u should keep your hair dark too... dont keep it too long, sholder length is perfect... i cant advise u to do ur hair in a certain way because it depends on your facial features and overall look. have fun :)
Makeup should enhance your natural features- not dominate them.
Go light on the lipstick if you play up your eyes and light on the eyes if you wear a darker lipstick. I stick to that rule in general to not look ';hookered'; out.
natural is best beauty is inside not what you look like :)
Hmmm,
Skin: 2L of water every day, that way you will have naturally glowing skin, and will need less make up...
Makeup: Dont trowl it on, be natural! (A womans best friend is her lip gloss)
Hair: That is up to you, but remember to condition, and cut regularly.
Goodluck
