there are courses which you can do from home. they give you some materials, and then set you tasks which you then have to send in. they then give you feed back on what you have done. it wont give you an NVQ qualification which a lot of salons want but may be enough to get into a salon, if not as a full beauty therapist, as a trainee until your practical skills are up to scratch. the theory is the hardest part really.
or you could always start up your own business. im a qualified beauty therapist and ive just started up my own business as i have a toddler and baby. it cost me 拢600 to get everything i need to do facials, waxing, massage etc and it also means that i can work when i can not when people want me to like in a salon.
if you are a single parent or dont have many qualifications then the council / government may be able to help as they do grants for adults looking to gain qualifications and you may be able o get a free creche if you need it.I would like to become a beauty therapist. Any advice on fast track courses or what qualifications I need?
I wanted to be a beauty therapist when I was younger too. That is until I found out how much they earned - it wasn't even enough to pay my rent let alone food, bills etc. I would advise that you check out what the wages are these days. Good Luck.
Well if you go to connextions which should be in a town centre near you, you can ask them down there and they will give you guidance there might even be a course you can do while you work and get paid for it.
